Not Too Tight, Not Too Loose - Exploring the Middle Path with Melissa
1:30 pm  Doors Open and Registration
2:00pm - 2:15 pm Learning Circle
2:15pm - 3:30pm Slow Flow Hatha Yoga Class
3:30pm - 3:45pm Tea Time

This time of the year, we often find ourselves reflecting on the past as well as looking forward to the unfolding of the New Year. We know from our practice on the mat that if we exert too much energy in either direction, we’ll compromise our connection to the present moment. We’re always in the process of learning (and sometimes, unlearning) how to navigate the sweet spot of the Middle Path.

Join Melissa Marasia for this Extended Saturday Yoga Class and playfully explore the how the Middle Path reveals itself through a variety of familiar poses and sequences. Learn the simple technique to assist you in uncovering and returning to your Middle Path throughout the year!

This practice is crafted for newer and seasoned students. Please contact Melissa directly (mmarasia2@gmail.com) if you have any questions or concerns.

Karma Yoga Series - 12:15 to 1:45 pm Donation Based Class
Did you set New Year’s resolutions to move more, volunteer more, or to do more good in your community?  Karma yoga is a great opportunity to form more mindful and selfless habits.

Karma yoga is the yoga of action. It’s about learning to act selflessly in service of others. Through karma yoga we learn kindness and compassion without any attachment to outcomes. In other words; we give of ourselves without expecting anything in return. These lessons help us to step away from our ego, freeing us to move one step further in our yoga journey.

Each week you will be led in 30 minutes of gentle asana practice to set the intention to aid others with a pure heart.  Then stick around after asana and together as a class we will carry out simple acts of kindness or service in the community. This is a dynamic practice which will require getting off the mat, leaving your ego behind, and fostering connections with your neighbors and community.
This class will meet bi-weekly starting January 27th, February 10th, February 24th, March 10th, March 24th, and April 7th

“When you seek happiness for yourself, it will always elude you. When you seek happiness for others, you will find it yourself.”  -Wayne Dyer

Drum-Asana - 7:00-9:30 pm - $15 - Pre-Registration Required

Join us for this 1-hour Vinyasa Yoga Class from 7-8 pm Partnered with live drumming provided by Matt Mikeska. This one hour class is followed by a Drum Circle where you can explore your own rhythm with various styles of drums.

Rhythm is what gives form to the boundless spirit and energy of all that is within and beyond our human experience. From the movment of celestial bodies, to the changing seasons, the repeating cycles within nature and the beating heart of each one of us. Rhythm is a common thread that runs through everything, down to the smallest atoms that are vibrating with the beat of creation. The drum, being far more than merly an instrument is a tool that is simple and accessible to anyone who approaches . the drum acts as a point of contact between the rhythm within and the universal rhythm. Through the drum we can connect with our deeper, primal self while at the same time connecting with others drumming around around us. As our rhythms synchronize with one another we create something that is much bigger and more powerful than any one of its individual parts. The drum circle becomes a deep and meaningful, radical act of community. Through the beating drum self becomes integrated with all that is outside of self.

At the very least it's just fun to beat on a drum. Register Now Using the Form Below!
